Project Hope

The Koinonia House is an authorized representative and partner of Child Search Ministries, a faith-based non-profit agency which helps find missing children.  Child Search Ministries offers many services including:

  • A Missing Children Hotline 800-3:16-HOPE.
  • Crisis Counseling for the Families of Missing Children. Trained counselors help families with the feelings of guilt, inadequacy, and helplessness they might feel.
  • Search Assistance in locating the child (active searching for your child)! Trained investigators work without a charge to the families.
  • An informative web-site which supplies valuable resources concerning missing children. (www.childsearch.org)

Unfortunately, a child disappears about every 18 seconds. This is a very sad reality. Child Search Ministries offers some very valuable resources concerning this problem. The services offered by Child Search Ministries not only helps families by providing support and counseling, it also helps locate missing children, raise public awareness to the dangers of child abduction and disappearances, and helps educate parents and schools on prevention.

The Koinonia House, a member-based Christian discount bookstore which also operates vending machines, has joined the fight and I would like to offer you an opportunity to help us and Child Search Ministries in our efforts. By participating in the Project Hope program, your company can assist in this much needed fight to keep our children safe and provide support for families suffering from this horrible tragedy. Project Hope is a vending outreach program of Child Search Ministries, which helps raise funds while raising public awareness. It is a vital source of income for Child Search Ministries and helps fund its many activities. Public Service Announcements (stickers) featuring missing children and contact information, provided by Child Search Ministries (trademarked to guard against fraud), are placed in a highly visible area on vending machines which are located in generally high traffic areas of restaurants, hotels, retail stores, etc.

These locations are carefully selected using criteria such as business credibility and stability, customer traffic, and integrity.
